MEET THE PEOPLE BEHIND GEMINI

It is our people that make Gemini the business we are. We have a shared passion for events that motivates us – no matter how many events we deliver, we will never lose that excitement and enthusiasm for what we do. This means you can count on us to be there when you need us, working hard to make your next event the best it can be.

We very much look forward to meeting you in the future, but in the meantime, here are some brief introductions to our Directors.

Chris Kelly

Christine Kelly - Managing Director

Prior to establishing Gemini in 1988, I worked for 10 years at Astra Zeneca/Stuart Pharmaceuticals at their global headquarters in Cheshire, organising UK and international events. Since then I have been proud to develop Gemini over the last 29 years, working with some of the world’s leading businesses to deliver events all over the globe. In addition to heading up the team here at Gemini, I am also an Ambassador for Women’s Enterprise and a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE). TiE is the world's largest network for entrepreneurs and I was recently appointed Chair of the TiE Women’s Network for the UK North Chapter.

Professionally, it has been a privilege over the last 40 years to work with so many inspirational healthcare professionals who change lives and shape futures. A particular highlight has been developing the ‘Controversies’ educational meeting format in several therapeutic areas, including ‘Controversies in Fungal Infections’, now in its 24th year.Personally, I have found it very rewarding to be able to use my experience and knowledge from the events industry and business management to support and mentor young entrepreneurs.

Mark Kelly

Mark Kelly - Director

Having grown up around the business for most of my life, I joined Gemini formally as a Director in 2010. My primary focus is on finance and the general operations of the business ensuring we are always as efficient and effective as possible.

Prior to graduating from a Business BA (Hons) degree course in Manchester, I successfully secured work placements at an Australian events company in Melbourne and also at leading accountancy firm, RSM Tenon in Manchester, both of which considerably broadened my experience in many areas.

At Gemini, I have gone from helping to stamp envelopes for mailings when I was 10 years old to managing the ticketing and registration process for more than 3,000 attendees at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in 2012. Working at Gemini presents new opportunities and challenges on a daily basis and provides a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment that is always fun to work in.
